The Buffalo Mercantile Coompany was founded in 1897 by Mr. John Hamlet. Known for having all the necessary local staples for evryday living. The Mercantole was a staplbe in the BuffaloCove community hen Joh C Toddd and his wife purchase the store in 1924.

Todd and his wife, Pearl, renamed the store “Todd’s Place” and it became a local hangout for 60 years. Todds place was known for its vibrant decor and the attitude that “we have everything you need”. From car parts to candy cigarettes, Todds place had it all. Well, except for a kitchen.

In 1984 Todd passed the store on to his daughter Mary and her husband Herb. They decided to add the full time kitchen to the popular spot and extend the patio for more seating. It was during the next 40 years that our famous Mercantile Pizza was born and perfected.

In 2020 the business was purchased by Jackie Jones Daly who promises to continue the legacy that the previous owners built. We have returned to the Buffalo Mercantile name and made upgrades throughout the store. We promise to deliver amazing food from our restaurant while sticking to the basics with a 120 year old General store.
